I still find it hard to
believe that the Nappies
now run the keg. In the
late 60's, the Phi Delts
owned the keg with regulars
(I think I have the names
right) Bob Hall, John
Jameson, and Aric Ludwig
shown here at the Pitzer
wash. I salute their memory
and the good times we had
when a couple hundred kids
from all five colleges
would fill the Greek theater.
We would do anything to
avoid a Friday afternoon lab.
Aric and I dissected things
in comparative anatomy,
and he went on to be a
world traveler and an ER
doc in Juneau.

Now, dear god, who are all those people? My records say only "NAP Party",
but I can name a few, with reference to the list in the Web site. Left to
right: Brian Campbell (president about 1969-1970, my freshman sponsor, my
intro to the Nappies); Kathy Rile, his date: Fred Brewer (now M.D.): Luton
?(That's what I have in my notebook, but I don't see that name on the
roster. Loomis?), Candy Rohr (VERY fine, I'm sure a target of the infamous
Nappie bird dog); Chris Nater (blond guy, face hidden; partial faces and a
girl I don't know; back of Spence Garrett's head; several I don't know,
except the guy with his eyes closed who had a singing group with me and
Campbell; Byron Linten (white shirt, facing left); Bob Bender (I think, way
in the back); cute girl; Steve Eckis (white shirt and tie, lived with me in
San Francisco while I was in pharmacy and he was in law school); Mike Duncan
(glasses); back of Bill Keller's head (lower right, recent cover story in
Pomona Today).
Of course, the real subject is the cabin.
I can almost hear Disraeli
Gears coming out of the speakers.
