Poetry by John Sawyer '82 #880
John Sawyer '82 #880 responded to a recent request for a contribution with the following bit of verse, hoping to fend off any further requests. Keeping in the spirit with which it was offered, and congratulating ourselves on a neat bit of reverse-psychology, we proudly announce the adoption of John's addled musings as a regular feature to the Oak Leaf. | |
'Twas it a Fig Leaf,
or an Oak Leaf
that Adam wore?
The Nappies I know
have a thirst for lore,
so...
Since I've been getting
the new Oak Leaf
Pictorial
I've been wearing it,
at home,
qua statement sartorial.
- John Sawyer, 1996
