The Sweetheart of NAP
| Zib Zabriskie sent the letter excerpted below which unfortunately arrived the day before we were to put this issue to bed. Space and time did not permit a more thorough, fitting tribute. We have many photos of Fannie, Bob Dozier '23 #3, and their family and friends, the best of which we will share in our next issue.
Fannie Boyd Dozier '24, the Sweetheart of NAP, died June 17, 1996. She was 95. She and Peggy Leighton '24, who died only a month before, made curtains for the cabin when it was first dedicated years ago. Two years ago, at the age of 93, Fannie, on Alumni Day, made her last hike up the trail to the cabin. |
